Illustration MFA, ‘24 (She/Her)
Rui’s strengths are in both traditional and digital art, she is extremely interested in narrative illustration and world-building. Rui has also found her love in handcrafting such as wood carving and tufting, she aims to bring life to her 2D creations.
BFA from MICA (They/He/She)
Leo crafts playful characters and develops whimsical stories. The accessible nature of their work allows space for the imagination to run wild. They produce their work, digitally and traditionally, playing the two off one another to create their narratives - the colorful and joyful nature of their work led to their work with children.
Illustration BFA (He/They)
Sam is an illustrator and printmaker who builds shape language and otherworldly illustrations by playing with color. They are a current student at MICA, learning the different printing techniques and incorporating them into their work.
Illustration BFA, ‘25 (They/Them)
Ilya explores themes relating to sci-fi, fantasy, and human exploration, focusing their narratives more on the creation of setting and scene-building compared to world-building. Their work is inspired by 20th-century comic book illustration.
